We are an artistic textile atelier focused on sustainable and slow design. Established in Brooklyn in 1998, we started small and we kept small to offer high quality and craftmanship to our specialty retail partners and private clients. Coming from a multi-disciplinary background of architectural design, fine arts and old-world classic tailoring we have created our own method of up-cycling and re-using previously discarded materials at designing for the human needs. Cutting from locally-sourced vintage cashmere sweaters we design and make originals under the trash-à-porter label: agua cashmere for babies, kids clothing, grown-up clothes and accessories and home-wares. We look at each our lines as components of the same lifestyle. Our work history is a series of additions to the same collection, made in-house and always designed with the same root philosophy of "re-use and save" and "economy of production". One-of-a-kind has been our trade-mark and motto for many years, each one of our creations is an original, and only one is made at the time. We work and sell our creations at our Brooklyn atelier, which is open to all visitors and often a meeting points of kind-minds, and we offer a selection every season at our high-end retail partners. Everybody that worked in our atelier has left a mark , added a detail or had a solution to a design quest, and we celebrate that. Pushing for chic. Experimental is final. We love trash.
