As a practicing artist I began experimenting with fashion and its intersection with architecture around the 1980s, I tried to generate close spaces for people to live in -and carry them- to express who they were, this was a celebration to individuality and resourcefulness. I later taught myself how to create patterns and to cut and sew materials as diverse as fabric, leather, metals and paper.
After producing many art and performance experiences in Argentina, I moved to London and then to NYC, where I worked for the fashion industry/establishment for many years, first for other brands and designers and eventually for myself, conceiving and producing a collection based on up-cycling textiles that sold at stores all over the world, I called this body of work "trash-à-porter".
I stopped producing this label in 2015, for several reasons, mainly because I felt the need to go back to work with individuals instead of stores, so today at my Brooklyn atelier we produce one-of-a-kind pieces of art-chitecture for private clients, installations and museum exhibitions.
